The Smallpeice Trust: Engineering
Smallpeice Trust is an independent educational charity that runs hands-on Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) activities and exciting engineering courses for pupils in from Year 9 to 12. They offer a range of residential programmes from various branches of Engineering at Universities.
Futurewise courses and events offer young people the opportunity to meet with leading employers, higher education tutors and gain valuable employability skills.
ISCO (Independent School Careers Organisation) offers a range of insight courses about various careers through Futurewise. You need to be 15 – 19 years of age to attend, there is a cost involved and most day courses tend to be based in London. If you are interested please ensure that any courses you consider attending are based in half term or summer holidays.

Free London Taster Courses
The London Taster Course Programme provides students looking towards attending university the opportunity to experience life as a university student, in the subject area of their choice.
In 2010, twenty-two London universities participated in the programme together offering over 160 different taster courses in more than 70 different subject areas.
Headstart – Engineering
Is a a well-established education programme whose aim is to encourage students interested in mathematics or science to consider technology-based careers. It provides an opportunity for those in Year 12 to spend up to a week at university prior to making their UCAS application.
