The Girls’ Schools Association promotes the benefits of a predominantly girls-only education for girls. We provide our members with excellent support, professional development and networking.
GSA has 4 categories of membership:
Full membership is open to any individual who is the head of an independent UK school which educates girls within a single-sex environment for all or part of the 4-18 age range. Your school must be fee-charging, in all or in part; your governing body must be a member of AGBIS; and you (the Head) must be a member of ASCL or NAHT.
Associate membership is open to any UK resident who has a significant interest in the education of girls and is not eligible for Full membership. For example, you may be the Head or senior leader of a UK school (state or independent, junior or senior), working in higher education, in charge of your organisation’s education liaison or recruitment programme, an education consultant, a retired Full member of GSA, or anyone else with a legitimate interest in the education of girls.
International membership is open to any individual who meets the criteria for either Full or Associate Membership but is ordinarily resident outside of the United Kingdom.
Fellowship of the Girls’ Schools Association is awarded at the discretion of the GSA. It is not possible to apply to be a Fellow.
