Prior’s Field

Prior’s Field – the place to achieve

Prior’s Field offers a distinctive route to high achievement. Set in stunning Surrey parkland, but only 45 minutes from London, this thriving day and boarding school was founded in 1902 and is often recognised today for its large silver unicorn statue which stands proudly at the entrance.

As a relatively small senior school, we are focused on the development of unique individuals and have a top priority of achieving happy girls as a springboard for success. Our ethos is clear “We celebrate achievement in the round – creatively, actively, pastorally and yes of course academically – but not to the exclusion of everything else. Girls are encouraged to grasp opportunities both academic and co-curricular and the school has a very strong reputation for Creative Arts, Science and for its elite Tennis Academy.

We aim for a cohesive yet inclusive cohort, to include some girls with specific learning needs and yet attain incredible academic results, with girls achieving University places at a wide range of top destinations including Cambridge, Oxford, Exeter, Manchester and St Andrews amongst others.

Bursaries are generally expressed as a percentage reduction on the School tuition fees up to a maximum of 95% and are applicable to day and boarding fees. They do not apply to extra tuition, to flexi-boarding or sleepover charges, nor to any ‘extras’ such as trips, stationery or extra-curricular activities.

Bursaries may be awarded alongside scholarships, exhibitions or sibling/old girl discounts. In these circumstances, the bursary is applied as a percentage of the fee remaining after the other award has been made.

Bursaries are subject to annual testing of parental means and may be varied upwards or downwards, depending on parental circumstances.
