Roedean Moira House in Eastbourne is an independent day and boarding school for girls aged from six months to eighteen.

We have been eduating girls since 1875. We welcome day girls and also offer a range of boarding options, including full-time, weekly and flexi-boarding. The School enjoys a safe, secure and picturesque setting on the outskirts of the lovely coastal resort of Eastbourne.

In the report from our recent inspection we were delighted that the inspecting body stated that we are “encouraging our Girls to be the best they can be”.

Our aim is to provide a nurturing and supportive environment which encourages our students to achieve their full potential and become confident, articulate, capable and independent young women.

Year on year, our students consistently achieve outstanding results at GCSE and A level. Amongst our current and recent pupils, we have academic scholars reading Law and Medicine at the Universities of Cambridge and Oxford; talented creative designers who will study at the London School of Fashion, and even an ex-pupil who trained to become a fighter pilot! Whatever career path they choose, we encourage all our students to reach their full potential.
There is also emphasis on personal growth and pupils are encouraged to discover individual strengths through an extensive programme of activities which range from Latin to Chess and include Sport, Music, Art and Drama.

SEN

We have a dedicated SEN department, and offer tailored, supportive and well-monitored programmes.
