The Marist Schoolupcoming open day (click for details)
The Marist School is an independent Catholic day school for girls aged 3 – 18 years. Founded over 70 years ago, The Marist welcomes all Christians and those supporting the school’s ethos.
The school is situated within 55 acres of woodland on a campus in the village of Sunninghill in Berkshire. This enables pupils to enjoy their childhood in the company of the same teachers and friends as they progress from Preparatory through to the Senior Phase.
The Preparatory Phase offers an excellent education in an atmosphere that is friendly, lively, incredibly caring and most importantly fun. The nursery provides a supportive and nurturing environment where exploration and creativity are encouraged for girls taking those all-important first steps in their schooling. There is an abundance of extra-curricular clubs on offer to the girls and after school facilities are available.
At Senior, Marist girls achieve consistently high academic results in their public examinations, year on year. In 2018, over half of the year’s Year 13 students received straight A* and A grades and 97% received A*-C. At GCSE, 54% of students gained 9-7/A*-A grades and 99% achieved 9-4/A*-C grades. This culture of success and excellence puts The Marist amongst the highest ranking schools in the country and allows our Sixth Formers to progress on to higher education in Russell Group Universities, Universities abroad and within the UK.
The school also enjoys an outstanding reputation for sport, drama, music and the creative arts.
