Wakefield Girls’ High School has a proud history of educating and empowering girls since 1878. We offer bespoke education for girls aged 4 – 18 years in small classes led by subject specialist teachers.
This is supported by exceptional pastoral care and a wealth of opportunities for all girls to pursue and develop passions in an independent, supportive and happy environment.
We encourage our girls to perform to the best of their abilities. So our school fosters personal qualities, such as resilience, grit and determination, to ensure girls are ready to conquer new challenges in our changing world.
We believe that happy girls learn best and Wakefield Girls have a keen sense of belonging, nurtured by strong and supportive friendship groups. Our girls support each other and through our strong female role model program see how women shape the world. Wakefield Girls believe in their own power.
All of our girls are encouraged to make the most of their school career – to take risks and aim for more than they think they can achieve. The girls of today will be tomorrow’s leaders, which is why we believe that there should be no limitations on their ambitions and enthusiasm for learning, either professionally or personally.
Do contact us to talk with any of our teachers or to visit our school. A Warm Wakefield Girls Welcome awaits.
