As a non-selective school, we are incredibly proud of the achievements of all our students in this year’s GCSE results. Pupils secured an outstanding 83% pass rate at grade 4 and above, with nearly a quarter (23.5%) of results at the highest grades 9–7 (A*–A equivalent).
Several subjects achieved 100% of students at grade 9–4 (A*-C), including Art, Geography, Music, Textiles, Spanish, Religious Studies, and BTEC PE, reflecting both the dedication of our students and the expertise of our teachers.
We also celebrate some truly outstanding individual results, including Pang, an accomplished pianist who hopes to study medicine in the future. Pang achieved an exceptional five grade 9s, three grade 8s and one grade 7, all while studying for her GCSEs in English as a second language.
But our success is measured by much more than exam statistics. Alongside their GCSEs, our students have:
- Achieved distinction awards in Grade 7 and 8 Music exams,
- Excelled in music competitions at regional and national level,
- Gained distinction in LAMDA performances,
- Reached the finals of national musical theatre competitions,
- Taken part in demanding external theatre productions, and
- Shown remarkable resilience, with some overcoming life-changing personal challenges that have made them stronger and more determined.
These results reflect not only academic achievement, but also creativity, resilience, and the all-round excellence that our school community fosters. We are proud of every single student, their results are a testament to their hard work, the dedication of our staff, and the unwavering support of their families.
Quote from Head, Nicola Tribe, “I could not be prouder of our students. Examination results are only one measure of success. What matters most is that our students leave us with confidence, resilience, and a belief in themselves. These qualities will carry them further in life than any single grade ever could.”
