Destinations includeEconomics at UCL, Natural Sciences at King’s College London, Physics at the University of Manchester, Music Composition at the Royal Northern College of Music and Fashion at Edinburgh, and Mechanical Engineering Design at VUT Brno in Czechia. One student is heading to study Liberal Arts with a Tennis Scholarship in the USA, while another has won a place on the Film and TV Directing course at the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts in Bulgaria.

Almost one third of all grades were A* or A. Particularly impressive was the 73% A*-A in the Extended Project Qualification, which is highly valued by leading universities. Many students significantly exceeded the grades predicted by baseline tests, most notably in Physics, PE, Computer Science and Japanese – we are extremely grateful to the Japan Foundation for their generous support which enabled us to offer this rare subject at A-Level.

Among the many students achieving at least three A grades is Kirat G, whose straight As in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths have secured her a place to read Medicine and Surgery at Newcastle University.

Izzy T’s A*s in Fine Art and Textile Design have secured her a place to study Fashion Contour at the London College of Fashion, UAL. Izzy briefly left Queenswood at the start of Year 12, but soon returned. ‘I’m so glad I came back,’ she remarked. ‘Queenswood has offered me such a lot of support.’

Also celebrating is Arabella L, who is embarking on a Natural Sciences course at King’s College London with A*s in Biology, Chemistry and Maths. Alongside her academic studies, she was one of our top-tier tennis scholars, competing regularly on the international scene.

We would also like to congratulate outgoing Head Girl Mahi K, She achieved an A* in Maths and the EPQ, and As in Further Maths and Computer Science, which she will be studying at Warwick University.

Principal, Jo Cameron, was extremely pleased with the results. ‘I am particularly delighted that so many students have secured their first choice of higher education course. I would like to congratulate the girls and staff on their determination and resourcefulness, and wish our pupils every success as they embark on the next exciting stage of their careers.’
