Our members

Our members

Girls’ Schools Association full members are the leaders – or Heads – of independent girls’ schools in the UK and Channel Islands. They lead a diverse range of schools, from larger metropolitan day schools to small rural boarding schools and everything in between, including preparatory/junior schools.

The one thing that unites them is that they each lead a school which educates girls within a girls-only environment for all or part of the 4-18 age range.

We also have associate and international members. They have an interest in the education of girls and are typically Heads of UK state girls’ schools or leaders of schools in other countries.

GSA members and their staff teams share ideas and best practice through a variety of in-person and web-based conferences, courses, seminars and meetings the GSA provides on their behalf. These networks also enable GSA members to arrange a wide range of inter-school events for students as well as to collaborate on independent-state school partnerships.
