Selected as one of only twelve schools nationwide to reach the final, the choir delivered an outstanding performance in front of an audience of hundreds of enthusiastic supporters. Their expressive and beautifully crafted performances of Flight Song and Lightning impressed the distinguished judging panel, which included Dr Charlotte Exon, Holly Mathieson and Dr Charles Bequignon Macdougall. Canons Choir achieved the highest score in the competition and was named Junior Category Winner.

Director of Music, Mrs Cox, shared her pride:

“What an exceptional achievement. I am so proud of all the girls for delivering such a breathtaking performance. This is our third victory at the GSA competition. We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity. It has been immensely rewarding and a true privilege to celebrate the joy of choral music alongside so many talented and inspirational young singers.”

A particularly memorable moment of the day came when all junior and senior finalists united for a massed performance of Carry the Music by Sarah Quartel. It was a powerful and uplifting finale that perfectly captured the spirit of the event.
