Broomwood Prep – Girls is a multi-award winning school, providing an extraordinary education for girls aged 3-13 years, where wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do. We are academically rigorous, achieving some of the best exam results in London. Our girls regularly win scholarships to competitive senior schools – both for day options in London, or boarding further afield.

Broomwood has a unique approach to education: All children are educated together in our co-ed Pre-Prep until Year 3 (aged 7). They then move on to our single-sex prep schools, Broomwood Girls and Broomwood Boys. We provides an environment where girls can develop at their own pace, taking advantage of specialist teaching and pastoral care. Unlike regular single-sex schools, however, our girls come together for extension and social activities with Broomwood Boys. They belong to the same house system and regularly take part in competitions, sporting, drama, music and creative activities, as well as mixed residential trips. About two thirds of Broomwood girls move on with confidence to co-ed senior schools.

Our pupils enjoy some of the best prep school facilities in London, with dedicated science laboratories, drama, music, art and DT suites as well as a cookery school and amphitheatre. In the later years they are taught by subject specialist teachers who promote independence of learning, helping them to take responsibility for their studies and teaching a range of skills, such as research, presentation and collaborative project work.

Broomwood provides a safe, nurturing environment with a huge breadth of opportunity and enrichment. Our girls are encouraged to try sports like rugby and cricket as well netball, hockey, lacrosse, gymnastics, swimming, tennis and yoga. They are just as likely to be cast as ‘Lysander’ or ‘Puck’ in the school play, as ‘Titania, Queen of the Fairies’. We are delighted to hear from senior school staff that Broomwood girls are very well prepared for life beyond the prep level and are kind, resilient and enthusiastic, often taking up leadership roles.
