Queen Anne’s is an inspirational day and boarding school for girls aged 11-18 set in 35 acres in the heart of Berkshire, with easy access to London.
It stands as a beacon of academic excellence and outstanding pastoral care. With a rich history dating back to 1894, the school continues to uphold its traditions while embracing the best that technology and innovative education has to offer to produce future-ready young people.
Queen Anne’s is known for its outstanding ‘value added’ including 0.7 grades better at GCSE. A broad, balanced curriculum with exceptional Music, Performing Arts, English and PE provision. It boasts a state-of-the-art music centre; outstanding art, design, animation, and ceramics facilities; plus, a 250-seat theatre and a thriving dance department. Many students earn places on national sports teams and overseas sports scholarships, particularly in lacrosse.
From the modern Sixth Form centre that could be mistaken for Google offices, to the careful support of the wellbeing programme, every girl is inspired to explore and enjoy her individuality, in a safe environment that champions excellence and deep creativity. In 2023, A Level students achieved 88% A*-C grades and 49% A*-A in 2023, with university destinations at Russell Group and Ivy League institutions.
Queen Anne’s School strives to support busy families and offers and an extensive transport network with buses covering the local areas of Henley and Marlow, and further afield to London. The flexibility of day, flexi and full boarding options allow families to choose the right balance for their needs.
Head of School, Elaine Purves, joined Queen Anne’s in January 2022 and has brought a wealth of experience along with a passion for student wellbeing and excellence in all areas. Ms Purves believes in providing an environment where girls can thrive academically and holistically to provide a brilliant launchpad for life.
Queen Anne’s embraces innovation such as Artificial Intelligence in learning and the use of digital devices. The school’s pioneering education prepares girls for the challenges of the modern world; inspiring girls to explore their individuality, free from gender stereotypes.
