Bursaries & Scholarships
At Royal High School Bath, we challenge our students to become independent thinkers, equipped with the skills necessary to thrive in the modern world. Scholarships are awarded to girls with exceptional academic potential as well as those with a particular gift for Music, Dance, Drama, Sport, Art and Design Technology.
We recognise excellence and strive to stretch and challenge our most able students. We award scholarships to allow access to an education for those whose talent would particularly benefit from this but the fees are beyond the parents’ reach. Our scholarships also help to support the work of our departments in improving provision for all.
These students will benefit from specialist support and encouragement to help them excel in their particular field. Please note that existing scholarships awarded in Year 7 and Year 9 will end at Year 11 but girls are welcome to reapply for Year 12. Scholarships are available for Sixth Form.
If your daughter would benefit from a Girls’ Day School Trust (GDST) education, but your family is not in a position to cover the full fees, you may be eligible for a Bursary.
Means-tested awards are given at Year 7, Year 9 (external applicants only) and for entry into the Sixth Form to students who demonstrate outstanding all-round academic ability. In order for their daughters to qualify for a financial award, parents must also complete an assessment of income and assets in order to establish their financial need. Details for online applications are available from Royal High School Bath; the assessment is undertaken by the GDST’s Finance Department. Bursaries are subject to an annual review.Find out more >
