A new partnership will bring together two girls’ schools with deep Camden roots and closely aligned values

North London Collegiate School (NLCS) and The Cavendish School are delighted to announce that The Cavendish School has become part of the NLCS Family.

The partnership brings together two schools with a shared commitment to ambitious education for girls, strong pastoral care and intellectual curiosity. The Cavendish School will retain its name, character and local identity, while benefiting from the educational expertise, experience and long-term support of NLCS.

The partnership is a proactive step by two successful schools looking ahead to their long-term future. It reflects a shared belief that distinctive schools can become stronger by working together without losing the individual character and culture their communities value.

For NLCS, the partnership represents an opportunity to deepen its commitment to girls’ education and outstanding prep school provision in the UK. Both schools believe that strong educational partnerships should be reciprocal, allowing them to share experience, learn from one another and create new opportunities for students and staff.

Vicky Bingham, Headmistress of North London Collegiate School, said:

“Great schools do not stand still. They remain strong by thinking carefully about the future while holding fast to the values that made them distinctive in the first place.

“We see in Cavendish a school with warmth, purpose and a deep belief in the potential of every girl. Its motto, ‘Where Girls Dare’, speaks to a confidence and openness that feel very close to our own founding purpose.

“We are delighted to welcome Cavendish into the NLCS Family and look forward to working together in a way that honours what makes the school special.”

Taryn Lombard, Head of The Cavendish School, said:

“In NLCS, we see a shared belief in championing girls and placing students and families at the heart of every decision.

“The Governors and I believe this partnership will allow Cavendish to remain true to itself while strengthening the values-driven culture and ethos that define our school.
