The wait is finally over for our outgoing Upper Fifth pupils, who received their GCSE results this morning following years of dedication, perseverance and hard work. Many congratulations to them all.

Today is a day of great pride for pupils, families and staff alike. The Upper Fifth’s results are a reflection not only of academic achievement, but also of the enthusiasm, resilience and determination they have shown throughout their time at Francis Holland Regent’s Park. We are thrilled to celebrate their success and immensely proud of all that they have accomplished, both within and beyond the classroom.

This year, 36% of all grades were awarded at Grade 9, while 85% of grades were awarded at Grades 9-7. These excellent outcomes are testament to the commitment of our pupils and to the support, expertise and encouragement provided by their teachers.

GCSE results represent much more than a set of grades. They reflect countless hours of study, superb time management and organisation, and the ability to balance academic commitments with participation in co-curricular activities and contributions to school life. We are especially proud of the way this year group has approached challenges with maturity, kindness and determination, embodying the values that define our school community. The personal growth that takes place throughout these important years should not be underestimated.

As they celebrate their achievements today, our Upper Fifth pupils can look forward with confidence to the next stage of their education. Their GCSE results provide a strong foundation for future academic and personal success and place them in an excellent position as they progress into Sixth Form.

We are excited to welcome the year group to Linhope House in September, where they will embark on new academic challenges, develop greater independence and benefit from the wealth of opportunities that our Sixth Form Centre offers. Having already demonstrated such commitment and capability, we have every confidence that they will continue to flourish and make the most of the exciting years ahead.

While today is a celebration of examination success, it is also an opportunity to recognise everything this exceptional cohort has contributed to the life of the school. We are immensely proud of the young women they have become and look forward to supporting them as they begin this next chapter.
