Boys ‘easier to control in single-sex classes’

GSA head Mark Steed (Berkhamsted School) tells The Times that boys, as well as girls, thrive in a single-sex environment because teachers can be more “black and white” about discipline.

His views contradict Sir Michael Wilshaw, the head of Ofsted, who said last week that children were best taught in mixed classes.
