Tes Independent School Award winners demonstrate the best of the sector
Independent schools across the country have seen their excellence recognised by nominations at the annual Tes Independent School Awards. With GSA schools shortlisted in almost every category, we are delighted that winners included:
King Edward VI High School for Girls – Financial/fundraising initiative of the year
The pupils at King Edward VI High School for Girls raised £35,000 in just six days last October, harnessing the full range of talents and interests within its student body to help raise money for its assisted places scheme, which makes the school more accessible to bright girls, regardless of their household income.
Bolton School – Whole school community initiative of the year
Bolton School helped to form the Bolton Sports Alliance in 2015, and since then the school has played a vital role in its continuing success, teaming up with key partners to ensure that local primary schools still have sporting opportunities that can mean so much for their pupils.
