Excellent GCSE results for St Mary’s students

22 August 2019

There was great cause for celebration this morning as once again St Mary’s School, Gerrards Cross students have returned an impressive set of GCSE results. With GCSEs now fully reformed and the majority of results resting on the final examinations, this year’s Year 11 cohort shone in their achievements.

A wonderful 63% of all grades were at levels 9-6/ A*-B. Half of our cohort achieved the very top grades in at least five subjects; 41% of all of the results were graded at 9, 8 and 7, A*/A and 98% of all results were at level 4/C or above.

Congratulations to all of the girls, from those who achieved a complement of top grades to those who worked hard to achieve results above their expectations.

Mrs Adams, the Headmistress commented, “I am so pleased for the girls and with the results that they have achieved. Their hours of hard work, dedication to keep improving on their performance and a real determination to succeed have been rewarded today. I am so proud of all of them; they can now look forward to the next step in their academic careers with great confidence. Congratulations also to our brilliant team of teachers who work with such passion and dedication to help our students achieve these impressive results.”
