Three rowing crews from Monmouth School for Girls have triumphed at the Bristol Avon Regatta.
The rowing club spirit shone brightly last weekend – with wins in the J15, J16 coxed fours and J14 coxed quad.
It was a fantastic start to the club’s regatta season and demonstrates that the girls’ hard work during a long winter of training, will pay dividends this summer.
All eight crews from the club were outstanding.
A special mention must go to the committed J14 rowing squad who competed in their maiden regatta; the future of the club looks safe in their hands.
The winning crews were:
J15 coxed four – Grace Jones, Freya Berglund, Ailsa Whitehead, Lily Ebsworth, Lily Shilcock.
J16 coxed four – Sophie Baker, Freya Berglund, Ailsa Whitehead, Lily Ebsworth, Lily Shilcock.
J16 Quad – Sienna Mckenna, Ffion Hutchings, Anna Swartz, Meghan Ridyard, Sasha Kilcot.
