The audience were delighted by the outstanding performances by the choir of current students, alumnae, parents, staff and local friends, with Thalie Knights (Year of 2003) performing the Mezzo solo alongside Emily Beech (Soprano), James Edgeler (Tenor), and Harrison Rob (Baritone).
The concert opened with a performance of Stainer’s I Saw The Lord, and was followed by movements from Arutyunyan’s Concerto for Trumpet and Milhaud’s Scaramouche for Saxophone, performed by Upper 6 (Year 13) Music Scholars Iris and Morwenna respectively. The entire concert was accompanied by our own Symphony Orchestra, who also performed Danzon No 2 by Arturo Marquez.
A huge thank you to everyone who attended this unique event in the School’s calendar and to the girls and staff who participated. The event was made even more special by the generous support for the retiring collection in aid of The Peritoneal Malignancy Institute.
