LEH students are celebrating today after achieving a fantastic set of GCSE results.
This year, 84% of all GCSEs taken were awarded grades 8 or 9 (A*), with 95% at grades 9–7 (A*–A). Three quarters of the year group achieved all grades 9–7, and an impressive 65 pupils achieved all grades 8 or 9.
There were some particularly strong results across individual subjects, with 94% of Maths grades and 90% of English grades awarded at 8 or 9.
Rowena Cole, Head of LEH, said:
“I’m incredibly proud of our students. Results day is a wonderful moment to celebrate not only what they’ve achieved today, but everything that has brought them to this point.
“Throughout their time at LEH, we’ve watched them grow in confidence, find and use their voices and develop as leaders. They’ve become bold and undaunted young people who are ready to embrace whatever comes next.
“What makes me especially proud is how much they have contributed to every area of school life – from sport, music and the performing arts to house events, volunteering, representing LEH at national competitions and so much more. They’ve worked hard, cheered each other on, and made the most of the opportunities around them. They should feel enormously proud of all they have achieved.”
We’re so proud of everything our students have achieved, both in the classroom and across school life. And a huge thank you to our brilliant teachers and parents for all the encouragement, guidance and support they’ve given our students along the way.
