Leicester High School for Girls is delighted to announce the appointment of John Partridge as Head of School, effective immediately.
Mr Partridge has been a valued member of the Leicester High community for the past four years. During this time, he has served as Deputy Head and, more recently, as Acting Head, guiding the School with dedication and clarity. Following a rigorous and comprehensive selection process, the Governing Body has confirmed his permanent appointment.
Jane Carroll, Chair of Governors, said:
“John has led the School with integrity, clarity and compassion during his time as Acting Head. His commitment to ensuring every girl is known, valued and inspired was evident throughout the selection process. Leicester High is a community built on trust, strong relationships and a clear sense of purpose. John’s understanding of who we are, and his ambition for what we can become, made him the right choice to lead the School into its next stage.”
John Partridge shared:
“It is an honour to be appointed Head of School. Leicester High is a place where girls develop confidence, character and ambition, and where every pupil is encouraged to discover what she can achieve. As both a member of staff and a parent, I know the strength of this community and the difference it makes to our pupils’ lives.
My aim is to lead a school where every girl feels known, valued and inspired; where excellent teaching, strong relationships and a clear sense of purpose underpin all we do; and where our pupils leave ready to take on the world. I am excited to work with our staff, families and Governors as we build the next chapter for Leicester High.”
Mr Partridge’s appointment marks an important milestone for Leicester High School for Girls. His leadership will continue to strengthen the School’s values, and reinforce its commitment to helping every girl flourish.
