Students at St. Francis’ College are celebrating an exceptional set of GCSE results, with more than half of all grades (51%) awarded at 9 – 8 (A*). An impressive 30% of all results were awarded the highest possible grade of 9, reflecting the talent, commitment and hard work of the College’s Year 11 students.
Among the many outstanding individual achievements, Emily secured nine grade 9s; Florence and Yoyo each achieved eight; Freya achieved seven; Amy, Heidi and Leana each achieved six; and Avis and Molly R each achieved five.
Further congratulations go to Zara, Hannah, Sofia, Keira, Molly H, Karen, Jess, Rinnah, Haylie, Anoop and Rui, who each achieved grades 8 or above in at least five subjects, an outstanding accomplishment.
Mrs Claire Couzens, Head of Year 11, said:
“I am immensely proud of everything our students have achieved in this year’s GCSE examinations. These results are the culmination of years of hard work, determination and commitment.
“Our students have made the most of the support provided by their teachers and the wide range of opportunities available to them at St. Francis’. Their consistent effort and dedication have enabled them to make excellent progress, realise their potential and achieve the success they so thoroughly deserve.”
Mrs Spence, Head of the College, said:
“It is a privilege to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our students. Their results are richly deserved and reflect the tremendous effort they have invested over many years.
“These accomplishments demonstrate the strength of an all-girls’ education, in which students are empowered to develop confidence in their abilities and approach the future with a strong sense of purpose. Our values are at the heart of everything we do, and it is immensely rewarding to see the determination and resilience our students have developed.
