Queenswood is a leading boarding and day school for girls aged 11-18. For more than 125 years, we have been delivering a truly progressive education in the most idyllic of environments.
Our community is large enough that we are able to offer outstanding opportunities, yet small enough that each girl is known personally to teaching and support staff alike. Their individuality, unique potential and special qualities are nurtured and realised.
From our personalised learning philosophy, which matches teaching styles to pupils’ strengths, to our flexible boarding packages and bespoke door-to-door transport service, we cater to the needs of individual girls and their families.
Queenswoodians achieve excellent academic results in a positive and happy environment: we truly believe that happy girls are successful girls. Their curiosity is never constrained by the limits of the curriculum and our girls flourish in all that they set out to do both inside and outside the classroom. We place great emphasis on the importance of co-curricular enrichment, and the school is particularly renowned in sport and the performing and creative arts.
From day one, a Queenswood girl will find herself as part of a community of independent and creative thinkers. We will encourage her self-assurance so that she grasps the many opportunities on offer at Queenswood and in the world beyond school. She will feel confident to make good life decisions based on sound values and a desire to give back to her community. In short, she will aspire to be the best that she can be.
Our 120-acre parkland estate, just a few minutes from all that London has to offer, and our outstanding , make a Queenswood education a truly exceptional experience.

Bursaries & Scholarships
A Queenswood Scholar is a remarkable young woman. Whatever her field of endeavour – in the classroom or the studio, on the sports pitch or the stage, in the laboratory or the concert hall – she is a shining example of the Queenswood Qualities.
She is resourceful and self-motivated. Her curiosity leads her to explore new pathways and to reach outside her comfort zone. And she has the resilience to overcome setbacks and meet challenges head on.
So many amazing career paths lie ahead for a Queenswood Scholar. She might follow in the footsteps of her predecessors and become a leading film producer, or a director of David Attenborough’s programmes for the BBC. She might find herself facing Venus Williams at Wimbledon, or a full house at the Royal Albert Hall. She might become an anthropologist, a philologist or an entrepreneur. But her journey begins with an enriching, empowering Queenswood education.
Scholarships at Queenswood are honorary, and do not attract fee remission. Bursaries are awards offered to girls who satisfy the school’s required entry standards and who are deemed to have the potential to make a significant contribution to the school community, but who require financial assistance with the fees.Find out more >
