Located between Milton Keynes and Buckingham, Thornton College is an independent day and boarding school for girls aged 3-19, set within 25 acres of beautiful grounds. While our historic Manor House dates back to the 14th century and has been home to the school since 1917, Thornton is firmly focused on the future, combining tradition with innovation to provide an education that is relevant, inspiring and globally connected.

Rooted in Christian values and a spirit of inclusivity, Thornton welcomes girls of all faiths and none. As part of the worldwide Jesus and Mary network of schools, spanning 28 countries, our students benefit from a truly international outlook, developing cultural awareness, global perspectives and the confidence to engage with the wider world.

Boarding at Thornton offers a genuine home-from-home experience within our Manor House setting. Available on a flexi, weekly or full boarding basis for both UK and international students, boarding provides a warm and supportive community alongside an engaging programme of evening and weekend activities designed to foster independence, friendship and personal growth.
