Students at St Mary’s School, Cambridge are celebrating a remarkable set of A Level results this year, highlighting their dedication and academic excellence. An impressive 25% of grades were achieved at A*, with 52% at A*-A. These superb results have secured St Mary’s Sixth Formers places at Oxbridge to read subjects including Medicine, English Literature, Theology and Geography.

St Mary’s students have once again proven their academic prowess, thriving in an environment specifically tailored to empower young women. At a time when the benefits of a single-sex education are increasingly being recognised in studies across the globe, St Mary’s continues to lead the way in fostering academic achievement and personal growth. With 89% of grades awarded between A*-C, students have excelled across the board, including in subjects like Geography, Languages and Creative Arts. Students have also successfully secured places in their chosen universities to study subjects such as Automotive Engineering at Warwick, Biology at York, Medicine at Exeter, and Economics at University College London (UCL), as well as Law, Economics, and Psychology. The A*-A grades awarded across A Levels surpassed the previous year by 7%, further cementing the School’s reputation for academic excellence.

The headline A Level results for 2024 are as follows:

  • 25% of grades at A*
  • 52% of grades at A*-A
  • 73% of grades at A*-B
  • 89% of grades at A*-C
