The impressive set of results included:
43% of all grades at A*/A
70% of results at grades A*- B
95% of all grades at A*-C
Thanks to their achievements Pipers students have successfully gained places at some of the country’s top higher education institutions including Durham University, University of Leeds, University of Exeter, University of Southampton, Loughborough University and the University of Birmingham. The girls will be studying a diverse range of courses including Philosophy and Theology, Modern Languages, Biochemistry, Anthropology and Archaeology, Psychology, German and Chinese, Architecture, Exercise Health and Nutrition, Nursing, Information Management and Business, Product Design, English, Geography and Design for Film and Television.
Headmistress, Mrs Helen Ness-Gifford said, “Following the major reforms to A Level courses in England we are delighted that our students have risen to the challenge and achieved such fantastic results. Through the academic education provided in our Sixth Form, alongside a challenging programme of enrichment activities, we enable our students to go on to study a huge variety of courses at a range of top universities and colleges all over the country. I am very pleased to have had the opportunity to celebrate with them, their families and their teachers today, and wish each and every one of the girls well as they move on to the next phase of their education.”
