Six hockey players from Monmouth School for Girls have been selected for this season’s South East Wales Regional Under-14s squad.
Year 9 students Izzy Crewe-Read, Anna Leeke, Lauren Young and Luella Hay, Year 8 pupil Daniela Waters and Eloise Moat, from Year 7, were picked after impressing during trials in Cwmbran.
The regional squad will play home and away fixtures against Cardiff and Vale, West Glamorgan and South Wales Valleys.
All six Monmouth girls are members of Gwent Hockey Club.
