3 December 2021

The 29th edition of Parent Power identifies the highest-achieving schools in the UK ranked by their examination results from 2017-2019.

Headmistress, Mrs Duncan said, “I am delighted that we have been ranked first for academic results in the South East this year. At Wycombe Abbey, academic excellence includes intellectual challenge, enrichment and the development of a genuine love of learning. We are committed to encouraging in our girls curiosity, bold ideas, innovation, leadership and a delight in learning inside and outside of the classroom. Our aim is for our pupils to leave School as confident, articulate, independent young women who are able to navigate a competitive, global, technology-driven world successfully but who also have the qualities to make a positive difference through the lives they live.”

The Sunday Times said “Parent Power is widely acknowledged as the most authoritative survey of the country’s highest-achieving schools. The rankings in the secondary school league tables are determined by the average percentage of examination entries in the three years, 2017-19, gaining A* to B grades at A-level (which is given a double weighting) and the average percentage of entries returning 9-7 or A* and A grades at GCSE.”
