Along with their teachers, children from Bolton School Nursery met with representatives from Farnworth and Kearsley Foodbank (Trussell Trust) to donate much needed items to help others in the local community.
Head of Nursery, Mrs Jasmin Sanders, explained: ‘A big focus at Bolton School Nursery is to teach our children about the importance of the local community and how we can help others. By encouraging donations from our nursery families, we are working to support awareness at a young age that we can all be kind, helpful and show concern for others, as well as doing our part, no matter how small, to make someone else feel even just a bit better. We find this helps children to begin to understand others’ feelings and develop empathy and respect for others. We will continue to support our local community in different ways with our children and families.’
