Thomas Franks and Queen Anne’s School Join Forces to Support Feed London

19 December 2023

Caversham, Reading, 19 December 2023

In a festive collaboration on the 19th of December 2023, Thomas Franks catering company and Queen Anne’s School have come together to support the charity, Feed London. The partnership has resulted in the creation of 300 meal boxes, each containing 20 meals, essentials, and recipe cards, all destined for households in need.

The initiative, supported by Thomas Franks, a prominent ethical catering company known for its commitment to social responsibility, aims to address the challenges faced by families during school holidays. These periods can be particularly challenging for families experiencing financial hardship, as they often struggle to provide meals for their children.

The boxes, assembled at Queen Anne’s School by their catering department, not only contain nutritious and delicious meals but also include essential items and easy-to-follow recipe cards. This thoughtful approach is part of the Feed London Charity’s vision that no child should ever miss a meal, freedom from hunger is a human right and that all young Londoners need good, fresh food, whatever their circumstances.

Feed London focuses on reaching out to communities with the highest rates of child poverty in the UK. Their unique approach involves not only providing ingredients and supermarket vouchers but also engaging families in the joy of cooking together. The initiative seeks to make a lasting impact on the wellbeing of children and their families when they need it most.

The collaboration between Thomas Franks, Queen Anne’s School and Feed London is a testament to the power of community partnerships. By working together, they have made a significant contribution to alleviating the hardships faced by families during school holidays.

The teams express their gratitude to all those involved in making this initiative possible, from the dedicated staff to the generous donors who supported the cause. As the 300 boxes make their way to families in need, the hope is that this effort will inspire others to join in the mission of making a positive impact on the lives of those facing adversity in our communities.

Thanks is given to the team at Thomas Franks, including Steve Beaumont – Hospitality and Events Director, and Ali Clake – Catering Manager at Queen Anne’s, as well as Feed London’s Project Director, James Burton, for their incredible efforts.
