Welcome to the Girls’ Schools Association and our 150th anniversary year.
This anniversary marks an important milestone for the Association; a time to celebrate the achievements of our Heads, teachers, school communities and girls; a time to nourish our membership network; a time to honour and acknowledge the vital historical and future role girls’ schools play in creating a fairer world for all.
GSA’s mission remains steadfast, speaking out for girls’ schools, showing up in girls’ best interests, and speaking up to defend every girl’s right to the best education. Our membership, made up of Heads from a diverse range of independent and state girls’ schools, inspire, educate, and galvanise over 90,000 girls to live life fully, every day.
For 150 years we have championed girls and their teachers to act as a catalyst for positive societal change. We remain committed in our purpose and promise today and continue to help girls realise the brightest of lives, through an education that empowers young women by placing them at the centre.
