Badminton’s “Class of 2026” now prepare to embark on their Higher Education journeys at leading institutions across the UK and around the world, including The University of Oxford, multiple Russell Group universities, and prestigious establishments in Hong Kong and America.
The vast majority of students’ Higher Education aspirations came to fruition today also, with 70% of students securing a place at their first-choice university. A number of students sailed into results day with the added reassurance of having secured unconditional offers for higher education. Based on the strength of their applications, portfolios and wider skills, students going on to study Global Sports Management, Archaeology, Sociology, Fashion Design and Photography all knew that their place was secure ahead of today’s results.
Many students attained straight A*/A grades with some achieving the rare accomplishment of four A* grades. One of these students was Joey, who commented on her achievement: “I am really excited to start studying Medicine at Imperial College in September. I’m grateful to all my teachers and friends at Badminton who have supported me throughout A Levels. I’m going to miss the community here and especially playing football with my friends”.
Other straight A*/A students included Tiffany (going on to study Physics at Oxford), Evangeline (going on to study Computer Science and Maths at Edinburgh), Anna (Physics and Meteorology at Edinburgh), Sofia (Law at Warwick), Asma (Design with Innovation at Bristol), Ami (Pharmacy at Manchester), Tiffany (Economics at UCL), Dora (Veterinary at Bristol), Anna (Computational Physics at Edinburgh) and Florence (going on to study Fine Art at Oxford).
Head Girl, Sara, said: “After 15 unforgettable years at Badminton, I am incredibly grateful to be leaving with a place at the University of Bristol to study BSc Economics with a Year Abroad in a Modern Language. Badminton has given me far more than an education; from performing and leading to the friendships and opportunities that have shaped who I am, it has truly been home for me, and I will carry those memories with me into the next chapter of my life.”
Mrs Jessica Miles, Head, said: “Badminton’s Upper Sixth Cohort of 2026 have once again delivered on their ambition and promise with today’s A Level results. We are exceptionally proud of the wide range of courses and institutions that they are joining from September, ranging from Fashion Design to International Relations, Psychology to Egyptology and Archaeology, History to Fashion Jewellery. Their chosen courses reflect the passions they have demonstrated and cultivated during their time at Badminton School, and we look forward to seeing them shine in their respective fields.”
