We were privileged to welcome Becky Wilde, Olympic rower and bronze medalist at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in the double sculls, for an unforgettable visit where she worked directly with our athletes on goal setting and personal development. She shared her own approach to setting and achieving goals, answering more of the girls’ questions in a more personal setting. Becky also shared her incredible journey with our students, offering insight into the determination, resilience and dedication required to reach the pinnacle of sport.
During two special assemblies for Years 7 to 11, Becky spoke about her experiences at the Olympics, the challenges she faced including overcoming injuries and the intense training and trials leading up to Paris 2024. The girls were captivated by her story, feeling inspired and motivated, and eagerly asked Becky questions about her journey.
Becky’s visit was an extraordinary opportunity for our pupils. We look forward to following her sporting journey as she sets her sights on the LA 2028 Olympics, and we wish her every success in her pursuit of future Olympic glory.
