FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Following a set of excellent A level outcomes last week, Lady Eleanor Holles (LEH) is thrilled to confirm a similarly strong GCSE performance by our fantastic students.

This year’s GCSE cohort achieved an exceptional standard, with nearly 60% of all exams achieving grade 9 and 93% of exams achieving grades 9–7, reflecting the continuity of academic excellence across year groups. Fifteen percent of students achieved a clean sweep of straight 9s.

These results, paired with the recent A level successes, reaffirm LEH’s position as a leading academic independent school offering a rounded and inspiring education while prioritising the wellbeing and personal fulfilment of every pupil.

Rowena Cole, Head of LEH, said:

“These GCSE results are a wonderful reflection of our students’ resilience and determination, and the wonderful skills and commitment of our teaching and wider team.

“What I value most about this year’s GCSE results is how they reflect resilience, curiosity, and self-belief. In a girls’ only school like LEH, our students feel empowered to explore their talents fully, support one another, and take on challenges with confidence. These qualities, alongside their academic achievements, set them up brilliantly for the next stage of their journey into Sixth Form and beyond.”

Our students’ achievements extend well beyond exam papers – many have excelled in the arts, sports, leadership, and community initiatives, embodying the holistic values celebrated at LEH.

Applications for entry in 2026 into Years 3, 7, and 12 are now open. To experience LEH first-hand, we invite prospective families to attend our upcoming Open Events. These events offer a chance to explore our outstanding facilities, hear from current pupils and staff, and learn about our academic programme and pastoral care. To register, please visit our Open Events page and complete the booking form.
