COMPETING AT THE CADET SAILING WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS
Phoebe, a Year 11 pupil at The Royal School, recently qualified for the GBR team to compete at the Cadet Sailing World Championships this summer!
Phoebe and her crew member, Rhona, competed in a series of competitive sailing races over three weekends in Essex, Weymouth and Cambridge. From these events, totalling 14 races, the seven highest positioned sailors are awarded a place in the GBR Cadet Sailing Team to represent the country at the World Championships in Poland in August.
Phoebe and Rhona’s consistency in securing 4th place or better in 9 out of the 14 races ensured they qualified in 2nd place for the GBR team to compete at the Cadet World Championships in Poland in August. A fantastic achievement!
