Loughborough teacher publishes 12th book

2 May 2023

A politics teacher at The Loughborough Schools Foundation is celebrating the publication of her 12th book.

Sarra Jenkins, Director of Future Pathways and teacher of Politics at The Loughborough Schools Foundation is the co-author of Pearson Edexcel A Level textbook Politics: UK Government Politics, Political ideas and US Government and Politics (Second Edition).

She wrote the US chapters of the textbook, as well as the chapter on UK elections, and has taught A Level Politics for 17 years after studying History at University College London.

She said: “I’ve always loved reading about current events and looking at how they can shape our world. Ever since I started studying politics at A Level myself, I knew that I wanted to teach it and share my passion for the subject.

“I’m really proud of this book; it’s been a real labour of love and it never gets old seeing your words come to life!”

Pearson Edexcel A Level textbook Politics: UK Government Politics, Political ideas and US Government and Politics (Second Edition) is co-written by John Jefferies, Sarra Jenkins and David Tuck.

The Loughborough Schools Foundation is a foundation of four schools comprising: Fairfield Prep School (boys and girls 3–11), Loughborough Grammar School (boys 10–18), Loughborough Amherst School (boys and girls 4–18) and Loughborough High School (girls 11–18). The schools operate under one governing body and are situated on two neighbouring campuses in the town. The Foundation also includes The Loughborough Nursery for children from 6 weeks to 4 years.
