St George’s is a small, thriving independent school for girls aged 11-18 with a strong caring and cohesive ethos. The school is set in 30 acres of stunning grounds, located in Ascot, only a 30 minute journey from central London.

St George’s examination results are impressive and the school is in the top 5% for value added. In recent years, Upper Sixth leavers have achieved places in a number of Russell Group and North American universities with an average of 6% of the Upper Sixth receiving offers from Oxbridge each year. Each year several Georgians also continue their study of Fine Art at a number of prominent art schools.

Boarding is an integral part of the school’s culture with roughly half of pupils enjoying the opportunities boarding provides. St George’s offers both full and tailor made boarding and takes great pride in the consistently warm, inclusive culture of the diverse, close-knit boarding community.

The Arts are fabulous at St George’s with a broad co-curricular programme available to all pupils in Drama, Music and Dance. Facilities include a 300-seat theatre, a mirrored dance studio and purpose-built Music School. The school offers 5 incredible theatrical productions a year alongside GCSE and A Level pieces. The Music Department is equally impressive and ‘Music for all’ is the fundamental principle of the department’s work. LAMDA qualifications and external, specialist tutoring are also available including Dance lessons from the award winning Natalie Vincent School of Dance and Drama.

Sport is also central to school life. Lacrosse, netball, swimming, tennis, athletics, rounders, squash and polo are all played competitively and there is a strong focus on work ethic and resilience within teams at every level. The ambition is to build self confidence and enable and inspire the girls to define their own experience of a physical education. With extensive facilities available, including a 25m, 6 lane swimming pool, and a wide-ranging co-curricular timetable to support girls’ interests, sport remains an area of great achievement within the school.
