During their stay at the Château the girls took part in a wide variety of activities including canoeing, fencing and climbing. On arrival in Normandy, instructions were given to the girls in French and they were encouraged to use the language throughout their stay in order to improve their knowledge and pronunciation skills.
During their stay the girls also thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to visit a local market and the Abbey at Mont Saint-Michel.
Mrs Etchegoyen, Head of Prep said “Staying at the Château has really helped with the girls’ resilience and it was wonderful to witness their willingness to embrace French culture and try to master new phrases. The trip certainly provided fantastic enrichment to everything the girls have been working on in their language lessons at school.”
