Monmouth children celebrate World Book Day

4 March 2022

Children at Monmouth Prep School donned their best costumes to celebrate World Book Day.

The creative pupils and staff at The Grange dressed up as their favourite story-book characters, including Fantastic Mr Fox, Tintin and The Snail and the Whale.

Pupils took part in an online session with acclaimed children’s author Michael Rosen, who shared some of his work and gave useful tips for writing.

Head of Monmouth Prep School, Mr Neil Shaw, said: “World Book Day is a wonderful and colourful event that helps spark the imagination of every pupil.

“Our pupils and staff have embraced World Book Day fully and had a lot of fun. Our boys and girls love books and we always try to make story-sharing an important part of their everyday lives.”
