Donna Stevens, GSA CEO celebrates GCSE students today:
“Congratulations to GCSE students on their results today. Girls’ Schools Association celebrates girls’ achievements nationwide, with nearly two thirds of candidates with straight 9s being young women. It is testament to our young women’s tenacity, ambition and passion for learning, despite the challenges of the pandemic years. This year girls outperformed boys, but with the gender gap closing it’s good to see boys catching up. Thanks, of course, go to inspiring Heads, school communities and students’ supportive families who walk alongside and empower our young women. I wish every pupil a brilliant day today and relaxing final weeks of their summertime break – you’ve done it and GSA can’t wait to see what you do next!”
