Badminton is a vibrant, thriving and exciting day and boarding school for girls aged 3 – 18. We embrace and respect our 160 year heritage but pride ourselves on being progressive in an increasingly global society.

Bursaries & Scholarships

Every year, Scholarships and Awards are available to girls entering Badminton in Year 7 (11+), Year 9 (13+) and the Sixth Form (16+). Scholarships are awarded to girls with a talent in a particular area and Awards are more discretionary, given to girls where we see real potential. Scholarships and awards available include:

Year 7 (11+): Academic, Art, Music, Drama and Sport scholarships.

Year 9 (13+): Academic, Art, Music, Drama and Sport scholarships.

Sixth Form (16+): Academic, Art, Music, Music, Drama and Sport scholarships.

Separate to the scholars’ programme, the Head, or the Head of Prep, may choose to select a number of applicants for a Head’s Scholarship. This scholarship is given to a pupil who performs exceptionally well in once aspect of the assessment and who the Head feels is deserving of recognition.

All Awards and Scholarships bestowed come with a remission on fees. Parents of girls who are awarded scholarships are also eligible to apply for a means-tested Bursary. Application for a scholarship should be made at the point of registration, with scholarship assessments taking place alongside our entrance assessments. Bursaries are means-tested and awarded on the basis of parents’ financial circumstances.
